Murder Mayhem Flash Exchange is a quick and dirty flash exchange full of murder(ous) mayhem. Because why not start the new year with some proper chaos? Isn't it time for your fav characters to commit a little murder, as a treat? :D

This is a fic only exchange.

Minimum Requirements:

A 300 word fic, posted to AO3 and gifted to the recipient, avoiding your recipients listed DNWs and containing one of your recipients requested Fandom + Relationship + Freeform murder tag.

Flash Exchange:

You are not guaranteed a gift. Works will reveal on Jan 15 even if there are outstanding gifts. Pinch hits will of course go out if needed, but if not turned in on time, we'll proceed without those fics. Late treats (and treats in general) are always welcome!

Matching:

This exchange will match on one Fandom, Relationship and Freeform/Additional Tag. The additional tags will all be murder mayhem tags that need to be nominated in the tagset.

Matching will start being run as soon as signups close. Any unmatchable signups will be deleted, so try checking the existing requests for your offers. If there's something you could write... 👀

You are not required to write the specific thing you matched on for your recipient, but you do need to write something specifically from their requests.

Nominations:

Only approved nominations will be usable in the sign-up form. You can nominate anything from canonical murder tags like "Murder Husbands" or make up your own specific scenario like "accidentally murdering yourself via time-travel oops" and "so I murdered that dude that was stalking my best friend AITA?" and even "this guy I murdered is a ghost haunting me and we're falling in love". (Assuming, of course, that it fits the character limit, LOL.)

You can nominate Fandoms, Relationships and Freeform Tags. To nominate a single character, nominate them in a Relationship slot under the relevant fandom like so: Solo - Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf).

RPF: No RPF of anybody currently alive and no nazi's, living or dead.

Sign-Ups:

You will sign up with at least 3 different fandom requests and 3 different fandom offers. If you do not list any DNWs in your requests, you acknowledge and agree you may receive fics that squick you out something fierce. DNWs not in your sign-up requests are not enforceable.

Because this exchange is all about murder, if you have limits on the level of gore you want, do remember to list that.

Hi! For freeform tags, are thoughts of murder okay, or must a murder be actually committed in the fic? Thanks!

There does need to be an actual murder, but it does not need to be on-screen. Off-screen, taking place prior to the start of the fic (so it deals with aftermath/fallout etc) is all fine. Hope that helps!
